CRP and TNF-α Detection using Porous Silicon Substrate Based on Reflectometric Interference Fourier Transform Spectroscopy

Sepsis is one of the leading causes death in intensive care units (ICU) and becoming more prevalent globally. As a result, an accurate timely diagnosis sepsis critical for selecting best treatment to prevent disease progression mortality. In this study, CRP TNF-α as common biomarkers were detected using label-free optical biosensor based on interferometric Fourier transform spectroscopy from porous silicon substrate. The layer was chemically modified with APTES glutaraldehyde immobilize aptamer covalently order capture analyte. refractive index determined by analyzing reflection spectrum layer, which associated different biomarker concentrations. results demonstrated linear responses concentrations ranging 10-10000 ng/ml 100-10000 biosensor's high discrimination. Thus, it has potential advancement clinical diagnosis.
